Abstract (EN)

Studies on the Middle East in the literature of international relations in Turkey have increased greatly in recent years. Undoubtedly, the fact that the Middle East is increasingly taking part in the agenda of Turkish foreign policy, along with the events that emerged in Syria after the war and tha Great Middle East Project, have been effective inthis devolopment. In this study, contrary to the understanding that prevailed in the recent literature, an outdated issue will be examined and the phenomenon of nationalism will be discussed within the framework of the Baath Party instead of Turkye's relations East policy after World War II, will allow us to understan many of the most important aspects of the Arab Middle East's adventure since the 20th century. This study will consist of three main chapter except the introduction and conclusion chapters. In the first chapter, theoretical discussions on the concept of nationalism will be examined, while in the second chapter, the establishment and devolopment of the Baath Party will be analyzed. In the third chapter, the Baaty Party's struggle for power will be discussed mainly through Syria. Therefore, in this study, the political and social devolopment process of Arap nationalsim in particular and Baath Party in general will be explained.
