The investigation of M. Sc. theses published between2010-2018 and related to science education, with respectto various variables

In this research, it was aimed to determine the M.Sc. (Master of Science) theses on Science Education, completed between 2010 and 2017; and to investigate their subjects, research methods and samples. The M.Sc. theses published on Science Education up to date constitute the universe of this study, the 542 M.Sc. thesis published on Science Education between 2010 and 2017 obtained from the Council of Higher Education National Thesis Centre constitute the sample of this study. The studies constituting the research sample were obtained by the systematic operation steps viewed in the context of document analysis, and they were included in the research process. When we look at the methods of the thesis considered in this research, we see that the researchers prefering the descriptive research method are in majority. In the context of subject, it was determined that the most studied subject is "Teaching and Learning" in the area of "Teaching, Strategy, Method and Techniques". It is concluded that the samples used in the studies consist of one through 50 primary school students. By this research, it was seen which subjects were studied in the M.Sc. thesis published on Science Education in Turkey, and it was tried to put forward an idea about which subject areas should be studied.
