Abstract (EN)
Sharia courts are the most fundamental judicial branches in the Ottoman Empire. Sultan uses his jurisdiction by way of the Kadi. Documents which contain judgements of the Kadi are called Şer'iye Registry. These registries have importance for Turkish History, it's economy and it's political, social and judicial life. They are also basic sources for Turkish culture and history. These documents include the cases related to public, court decisions and administrative regulations without distinction of language, religion, color and race. This study is transcription and assesment of Kadi Registry, Hısn-ı Mansur (Adiyaman) H.1326/ M.1908/1909. In the begining of the study, we gave information about Kadi Institution, it's founfation, it's duties, way of judging, Şer'iye Registries and socio-economic status of Adiyaman by analyzing Adiyaman Kadi Registry numbered 271.
