Özet (EN)

In this researchment, the aim is determining the relationship between the satisfaction with life scale and guilt, shame scale of mothers who has children with growth retardation. This researchment has been made on 121 mothers who have between 3-6 years old children with growth retardation and 60 mothers who have healty children. In this researchment, sociodemographic information scale, the satisfaction with life scale and guilt, shame scale has been used. According to the findings as a result of this researchment, we can clearly see that there is a middle degree positive and meaningful relationship between the satisfaction with life scale and guilt, shame scale (r=0.671, p<0.01). In addition to this, acoording to the same research, there is no meaningful relationship between guilt, shame scale and satisfaction with life scale (p>0.05). Beside these findings, mothers' satisfaction points (t=-12.628, p<0.01), guilt (t=7.838, p<0.01) and shame points (t=8.841, p<0.01) show differences meaningfully on owning a growth retardation child or a normal child. In the future time repeating the research on bigger examples and working on weather there is a relationship between guilt and shame and life satisfaction rate or not is suggested.
