Some determinations regarding the social, legally, economic and administrative history of Aksaray according to the Niğde Court Case Records number 4

Court Case Records have an important place among Ottoman historical sources. These sources contain the court decisions that granted by court at that time and the court records. It present tangible data about cultural, economical, commercial, administrative, religious and social life, as well as legally important datas. These records give information on many areas such as villages, neighborhoods, names and items used, foodstuffs, animals and family life. There are 470 documents in Niğde Court Case Records No. 4 covering the years 1311-1313 (1893-1895). In this research, in the light of these documents, was tried to be given information about Aksaray's situation in that period. The study consists of introduction and four parts. In the introduction part, the history of Aksaray and the importance of the court case records were emphasized and the Niğde Court Case Records No.4 was introduced. In four chapters, determinations were made about the social, legal, economic and administrative history of Aksaray.
