The Numbered 507 Karahisâr-ı Sâhib Şer'iye Sicili: Evaluation and transcription

Qadi Sijils are of great importance for Ottoman historiography. Qadi Sijils are one of the first sources to be used to examine the social and economic situation of the Ottoman Empire. These resources are very rich in content. It includes the administrative structures of the Ottoman cities, the wishes and complaints of the Muslim and non-Muslim people, the correspondence between the center and the provinces, the marital status of the people, property rights and all other administrative and judicial situations. This research consists of the transcription and evaluation of the Qadi Sijils of Karahisâr-ı Sâhib Sanjak as numbered 507 that belongs to H.1060-1072 / M. 1650-1662. According to the information in the book, information on the administrative structure, social and economic status of the Sanjak of Karahisâr-ı Sahib was included.
