The transcription of Trabzon Ahkâm Register numbered 6 (PP.1-92)

Ottoman Empire's transition stage from period of principalities to empire can be explained by organization of government, the system of law and justice, ideological conquering approach, how to turn the problem in favour of itself and much more besides. Being a powerful government by investing middle east and the Balkans by conquering and standing for a long time are exposed that the necessity of a good deal research. Ottoman archives that our treasure of culture and history become a good light to see the history. Archives have the characteristic of fundamental sources for the representing the historical events truly. Seeing the exploit of writing book entries from the beginning of the empires shows us they are very effective. Ottoman Empire sustain commanding these broad lands and leading whom held different races and religious with its tolerance and justice. The concept of justice range far in mechanism of Ottoman Government. The most important place for the Ottoman justice is Dîvân-ı Hümâyûn (İmperial Council). İmportant events are discussed and written down here. At the same time It is the place of accepting complaint. The complaint that belongs who ever was listened and tried to solve the problem. The opportunity of applying for complaint without any middleman is given to all Ottoman citizens. In the begginnig, the complaints coming to council are recorded to Mühimme (Substantial). After XVII. Century, complaints are recorded to Şikâyet Defterleri (Complaints' Registers ). The mechanism of government is interrupted by decreasing the central authority. That causes increasing the complaints of citizens. With the increasing complaints, Ahkâm Defterleri ( Judgments Registers ) are created for 16 state and the solutions of complaints that comes to centre are recorded to Ahkâm Registers. The number of 6th Trabzon Ahkâm Register that is our study subject will be tried to exhibit by transcription and evaluation. It will be tried to explain the period's social, financial, political and cultural situation; and The registers recorded in Dîvân-ı Hümâyûn (İmperial Council) in the first part of our study. It will be written the evaluation of commands by form and content, indications obtaining by the light of commands and the transcription.
