The transcription of Trabzon Ahkâm Register numbered 6 (PP. 93-192)

The Ottoman Empire made its decisions on social, political, administrative and military issues in the so-called "Dîvân-ı Hümâyûn" board. In Dîvân-ı Hümâyûn, many issues concerning the state were discussed and decided in accordance with the evil and the traditional law. The decisions taken here were recorded in their first form by the Dîvân-ı Hümâyûn pens. Then, a systematic registration system was tried to be reviewed and exonerated. The main books recorded were: Ammunition, Complaint, Ahkâm, Ruûs and Bond books. There were also times when Dîvân-ı Hümâyûn listened to the complaints and wishes of the people. Thanks to this legal right, the people could submit their situation to the Sultan in their objections to the problems and case results that he could not find a solution to, or he could report it to Dîvân-ı Hümâyûn with a petition. In addition to the political, administrative and military issues of the state, issues related to public complaints were recorded in the Ammunition Books, where state affairs were written. In 1649, a record was created under the name of Complaint Books and only the book where the complaints and requests of the people were written was created. As of the 18th century, after the current territory of the state and its political-economic situation, records were started to be kept under the name of Ahkâm Books as the product of a new system for the ease of resolving the demands and complaints of the people. As of 1742, it was kept in the states and continued to be eclipsed until the period of Legitimacy II. For the purposes of content and writing, the Court book provides us with important information about that period, especially on issues such as disputes over inheritance sharing, water and pasture disputes, irregularities in the collection of taxes, thuggery-extortion incidents, debt-to-pay between individuals. In this thesis, trabzon ahkâm book numbered 6 (p.93-192), which covers the years 1838-1846 belonging to Trabzon State, will be transcripted.
