Social and economic structure of Afyonkarahisar according to court records numbered 627 (1897-1898)

In this study, the Karahisar-ı Sahib sharia number 627, which contains the years of 1897-1898 (H. 1314-1315), was examined. Sharia records are first-rate sources in terms of socio-economic history, as they directly provide original information about the people. 314 documents were evaluated by transcribed in these. The main subject of the register in the book, which consists of the warrant, the ilam and the supply, constitutes family law such as inheritance, custody, marriage, divorce. Sales treatments, complaints that the horse greed is heavy, foundation trustee transactions and some permit documents. There are terke records in 2/3 of the documents related to the surveillance.
