Abstract (EN)
In this study, number 629 Karahisar-ı Sahib (Afyonkarahisar) court records, which constititues data between Muharrem 1316 (May-June 1898) and Zilhicce 1316 (April-May 1899), were subjected to transcription and summarized then the information obtained from documents was evaluated. The registry book consisting of 169 documents in script and verdict styles that are mainly about law of successions, obligations and family gives valuable information especially about Afyonkarahisar's socio-economical and cultural life in given period of time above. Also, it is possible to get information about Afyonkarahisar's administaritve, physical and demographic structure from those mentioned documents. The main subjects of the documents are genereally about cases which were arised from social and economical problems. So, this study will contribute to some extent to documentation of Afyonkarahisar's socio economical situauton at the end of XIX. century that's a period of time during which important events was occurred.
