Examination of effects of the Law no. 6331 on Occupational Health and Safety on the forest organization (A case study of Erzurum Forest Nursery Directorate)

In this study, it has been tried to investigate the awareness of the employees of Erzurum Forest Nursery Directorate in the level of consciousness by applying the Law No. 6331 on occupational health and safety. A face-to-face survey was conducted with nursery staff working in Erzurum, Erzincan, Sarıkamış and Ağrı Nursery Engineering affiliated to Erzurum Forest Nursery Directorate. In the study, a questionnaire consisting of 36 questions, 8 independent and 28 dependent variables were prepared. The questionnaire was composed of 5 independent and four dependent variables (nursery working conditions 14 questions, health status of employees 3 questions, current job security applications 3 questions and evaluation of current OSH training 8 questions). The data obtained from the questionnaires were evaluated in the SPSS 20.0 program and frequency distributions were determined., In addition Also khi square analysis was performed to see if there is statistical relation between dependent and independent variables in the questionnaires. During the analyzes, are the opinions of the independent variables gender (1), education status (4) and the actual work (6) and dependent variables consulted in the regulations concerning the working place and working conditions? (10), Are adequate safeguards taken at the unit you are working on? (12) Do you have any health problems that you think originated from nursery studies? (23) Do you have training in occupational health and safety? (29) and the OSH trainings you attended include direct nursery subjects or general OSH subjects? (31) statistically significant relationships were found between the variables and the relations found were indicated in the text. In the study, it was determined that the basic OHS training should be given in accordance with the mandatory provisions of the OHS Code No. 6331, but the rate of those who declare that they have not received yet education at the institution is determined as 17.6%. Nearly all of those who stated that they had a health problem in the institution; They are women and married workers over 40 years of age. If these groups are generally considered to be physically active and do not have job descriptions, the measures to be taken are: To ensure that dangerous situations affecting the health of employees are identified and removed from the workplace by means of the risk assessment team established in accordance with Law No. 6331 on occupational health and safety. The aim here is to reduce the risk to an acceptable level.
