Abstract (EN)

The aim of the research is to examine 8th grade students' T.R. education through the virtual museum application. It is an examination of his views on the History of Revolution and Ataturkism course. In the research, case study design, one of the qualitative research methods, was used. The study was carried out in the spring semester of the 2023-2024 academic year, in the eighth grade "national awakening: steps taken towards independence" learning area, the "first world war" topic and the "national epic: either independence or death" learning area, virtual learning area in the treatment of national struggle topics. It was created for the use of museums. The study group consists of 32 students, 20 females and 12 males, studying in the 8th grade at a public secondary school in the Central district of Çanakkale province. A semi-structured interview form was used as a data collection tool. The data obtained through interviews with students were analyzed using the descriptive analysis method. The findings are presented in tables as themes, codes and frequencies, and are supported with direct quotations. Based on the research findings, T.R. It has been determined that students have positive opinions as a result of virtual museum experiences in History of Revolution and Ataturkism courses. It has been understood that students learn the subjects in a fun, easy and permanent way without getting bored, they reinforce their learning by obtaining different and new information, and their interest in the lessons increases. Thanks to the positive attitudes they acquired about museums and virtual museums, students emphasized that they will continue to make museum and virtual museum trips.
