Transcription and the assesment of Surre notebook 912 number with 1723-1724 (h. 1136) date

Surre means a kind of presents such as money and cloth which Ottoman Empire sends to Haremeyn (Mecca and Medina cities) in Recep month. Surre which is known to be first sent in Abbasid Caliphate el- Muktedir Billah times in 923 (H. 311) was sent more systematicly in Ottoman term. It?s not known exactly which Sultan sent surre first. However there is some information that in Çelebi Mehmed or Yıldırım Bayezid times first surre was sent. Sending surre affair was continued until the last times of Ottoman Empire. The surre notebook with 1723-1724 (H. 1136) date and 912 number is a kind of notebook which has the classic surre notebook features and gives information about Medina?s social and economic structure.
