The contextual dictionary of Abdurehim Otkur's The Legend of Qashgar Night (Chapters 5, 6, 7 and 8)

Words can be used in sentences in a manner of has different meanings. The meaning in which a word is used is determined as regards the context. With this aspect, the context has a significant role in the communication. While evaluating an expression contextually, the meaning of the sentences is also discussed together with the meaning of the words. Context dictionary studies are worked to determine the contexts. The TEBDİZ (Turkish Literature Contextual Indexes and Functional Dictionary) project contributes to these dictionary studies. In this study, the contextual dictionary of Abdurehim Ötkür's epic named Kaşgar Night (Chapters 5, 6, 7 and 8) was created. The original text of the epic "Kasgar Night" (Chapters 5, 6, 7 and 8) in Arabic letters was first transcribed into the Latin alphabet and then uploaded to the TEBDİZ system. The aim of the study is to determine the vocabulary of Abdurehim Ötkür's epic called Kaşgar Night (Chapters 5, 6, 7 and 8), to reveal the frequency of use of words, to contribute to Contemporary Uyghur dictionaries and to facilitate the language and style studies in the future for the researchers. In our study, the life, literary personality and works of Abdurehim Ötkür, one of the important personalities of the New Uyghur Literature, are also mentioned.
