Abstract (EN)

Performance art is an art form that is performed live in front of the audience and is exhibited by the artist or artists using the body. These activities, also called Happening or Formation, it does not involve the purchase, sale or relocation of the product that is different from traditional and formal understanding. Since it is not an anchor, it is archived by being photographed or recorded with a video camera. Although the stage and the performing arts have a common aspect in terms of exhibiting a number of movements of the body, it is done without adhering to any text like the theater. Action Painting-Action Painting is also associated with Body Art-Body Art, Fluxus, Body Art, Poor Art and Process Art. The roots of the Performance Art, which started to gain popularity in the 1960's, to the early Dada movement, to surrealist and futuristic performances of the 1920s and 1930s. In order to put forward the thought that is intended by the artist, the activity planned beforehand is started to be done, maintained and finished. The activities are also interdisciplinary in terms of exploiting poetry, music, dance, etc. if desired. It is a way of conveying artist's thoughts in an unusual and dramatic way, unlike traditional art forms. Conducted thought is completed by the audience without any special effort. In this art form, the audience is actively involved. In the 1970's ideas extended to the foreground Conceptual Art.
