Abstract (EN)

Our research, was applied to the male soccer players who were in adolescence and did soccer training regularly. A total of 45 adolescent subjects participated in this study. They were divided into three groups, a core training group (n:15), a plyometric training group (n:15) and a control group who did routine soccer training (n:15). Before working on the research, a form of information which included the age, height, weight and percentage body fat of 45 subjects in total was created. Skinfold thickness were taken from the biceps, triceps, scapula, chest, spinailiac, abdominal, thigh parts for the body fat calculation. Body fat percentages were calculated according to the "Lange" formula. While making working groups, the athletes who and had values close to each other were taken pains to group together by considering the age and anthropometrics features (BMI, body fat percentage). Vertical jump, 20-meter sprint, Illinois agility, flamingo balance test and sit and reach flexibility test scales were used in order to measure the motor skill characteristics of the groups. Slalom test, ball skipping test, quick pass and shoot at goal test scales were used to measure the soccer technical skills of the groups. Pre-tests before the study and post-test after 8-week-training of all three groups were taken. Then, the data at pre-test and post-test were compared. As a result, it was concluded that core and plyometric training decreased body fat ratio, and increased muscle mass, anaerobic power, motoric and technical skill development. Key Words: Biomotor capacity, Core training, Plyometric, Soccer, Technical capacity, training
