Abstract (EN)

The seasonal variation of benthic diatoms and some physicochemical features in Gölbaşı lake were investigated from July 2011 to June 2012. Epipelic, epilithic and epifithic diatoms samples were examined approximately per month from choosen four station. A total of 152 taxa belonging to 51 genera were identified in Gölbaşı Lake. Cymbella, Gomphonema, Navicula, Encyonopsis and Fragilaria were found the most dominant genera in epilithic, Achnanthidium, Encyonopsis, Cymbella, Gomphonema and Navicula in epifithic and Navicula, Nitzschia in epipelic during periods of samples. Encyonopsis microcephala (Grunow) Krammer, Achnanthidium minuttissimum (Kützing) Czarnecki, Cocconeis placentula var. placentula Ehrenberg, Fragilaria acus Kützing, Gomphonema angustatum (Kützing)Rabenhorst, Navicula cryptocephala var.veneta(Kützing) Rabenhorst, Fragilaria capucina var. vaucheria (Kützing) Lange-Bertalot, Cyclotella krammeri Håkansson and Nitzschia palea (Kützing) W.Smith have been identified the most important taxa in the species composition of benthic flora. Also Shannon-Weaver (max 3,33, min 1), Dominance indices (max 0,58, min 0,06), Phosphate(0,21 mgL-1), Nitrate (2,39 mgL-1), Silicium (7,41 mgL-1) and Calcium (108,1 mgL-1)were calculated to Gölbaşı Lake.
