Facilities that perform at least one of the processes of crushing, screening and washing are subject to the provisions of the Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) Regulation. According to the Regulation, the facilities in the list of Annex-1 (List of Projects to be Implemented the Environmental Impact Assessment) are obliged to prepare an Environmental Impact Assessment Report and those in the Annex-2 list (Projects subject to the Selection and Screening Criteria) are subject to selection and screening criteria to be decided either an EIA is required or EIA is not required. There are more than 15 crushing, screening and washing facilities in Adiyaman province depending on the conditions and seasons. These facilities operate with capacities ranging from 30 thousand to 150 thousand tons per year. In this study; it is aimed to determine the current situation of crushing, screening and washing facilities in Adıyaman province, to determine the current environmental problems and to propose solutions. The assessment of the environmental impacts of these facilities, which have a common feasibility for the region, is a very important issue during the operation. Within this scope, visits were made to all existing facilities and environmental problems were tried to be determined. As a result, it was observed that the most common problems were concentrated on washing water, emissions and hazardous wastes. In order to solve these problems, evaluations have been made in accordance with environmental legislation.
