Abstract (EN)
This research was carried out in order to reveal the reflections of disaster issues in social studies textbooks. In addition, disaster issues in the social studies curriculum (2018) were also examined. The research is based on 5.6. and 7th grade social studies are limited to textbooks. Among the qualitative research methods, document analysis method, and 5-6 and 7th grade textbooks were used as sources and materials. In the examined curriculum and textbooks, the subject of disaster was examined within the framework of the units, based on text and visuals. As a result of the research, it was found that there are deficiencies in the social studies curriculum and textbooks on disaster. Especially when it comes to disasters 6. The fact that not much space is given in classroom textbooks stands out as an important shortcoming. It has been observed that disaster topics in textbooks are not included at a sufficient level and there are significant deficiencies. As a result of these shortcomings, it was concluded that disaster topics should be given more space in textbooks.
