The Thermal tourism potantiel in Afyon

The thermal springs of Afyon that constitute our research topic situated in the central- west Anatolia Past of Aegean Region. Afyon has the status of being the threshold of central Anatolia plateau for Aegean coastline. Most of the present hot water sources in west Anatolia take place on the fractures which form the graben structures. This faults demonstrate that Afyon is under the control of new tectonic period which occured in Anatolia. The hot spring, steam and gases through earth in Afyon bring about some thermal resorts by the Afyon became " Capital City of Thermal Tourism". The thermal resorts in Afyon mainly accumulated in live zone; Sandıkh-Hüdai, Bolvadin- Heybeli, Gazlıgöl, Ömer, Gecek. These are also some hotels and motels that use hot springs in Afyon. In most of the thermal resort, there are many attempts to adopt the high accomodation, communication technologies ( Like satellite TV systems equipped hotels with computing system) The tendency toward hot spring more and more. Under such conditions, it can be inferred that the thermal resort in the search field can have important contrubutions on local and national economics.
