Abstract (EN)

Beta-lactam antibiotics are among the antibiotic groups commonly used in our age due to their low side effects and bactericidal effects. Extended spectrum beta-lactamases (ESBL) are defined as enzymes that can hydrolyze oxyimino cephalosporins microbiologically and can be inhibited by clavulanic acid. Beta-lactamases, on the other hand, neutralize beta-lactam group antibiotics before they reach their target area. In recent studies, it has been reported that antimicrobial resistance is very high in animal food-borne bacteria. It is claimed that antibiotic-resistant bacteria and resistant genes pass through animal foods to humans. Especially, the increasing spread of ESBL-producing bacteria in animal foods has become an important problem in terms of food safety and public health. In this study, the presence of bacteria capable of producing beta-lactamase enzymes will be determined in the milk samples to be collected from Ağrı and its surroundings, and the types of beta-lactamases they produce will be characterized. Determination of milk borne bacteria capable of producing beta- lactamase with extended spectrum and determining the situation is important for our region.
