Investigation of elements of value education in the Pendnam of Ahmed Mursidi Efendi

The aim of this study is to investigate the life and literary personality of Ahmed Mürşidî Efendi, a scholar and wise man of Diyarbekir, who grew up in the tradition of Religious - Sufism Literature; is to determine its place in Religious - Sufism Literature tradition and the importance of 'Pendname' in terms of value education. Besides, it is aimed to show the functions of the tradition of Sufism, which is a part of our culture, in the education of the society and to examine the values it puts forth. For this purpose, document analysis, which is one of the qualitative research methods based on text analysis, was used. While the research was carried out, the work of the sufi person, named Pendname, were examined and the "value education" elements in this work written in verses in couplets were determined. These elements were examined under various value headings. The place and importance of these values in today's social life were explained and interpreted. Data on the function of the determined value education elements in education and the importance of the role it undertakes, the contribution of Ahmed Mürşidi Efendi to this field with his poems and the effect of these poems on the consciousness of generations and the acquisition of values have been reached.
