Effects of the Turkish folk tales on Ahmet Mithat Efendi's novels

In Turkish literature the first Western sense novel examples started to seen in 19th century. With this century, come up as a new type, novel; it's development process in Turkish literature, is not only with the Western literature's influence but also with it's own cultures' traces. Especially, among the oral culture products epopee, tale and folk tales have a very big impress on it. "Effects of the Turkish Folk Tales on Ahmet Mithat Efendi's Novels" title in this thesis, With novels written by Ahmet Mithat Efendi who has a major importance in Turkish novelists and between in Turkish folk tales "realistic folk tales" has made a comparative study. With this comparison,it has tried to determine in Ahmet Mithat Efendi's novels' the tradition of folk tale elements' similarities and marks between the texts.
