Abstract (EN)

People want to adapt to the social order by developing balanced relationships in society. For the development of good relationships, the person receives stimuli and reactions from his environment and makes sense of the processes around his and builds his own world of meaning in this direction. If the person receives stimuli suitable for the social order from his environment and internalizes them he develops a harmonious self. Otherwise he will conflict in society and violate common social rules. The way in which the person perceives himself and social processes allow his self to be reproduced. It is directly related to the internalization of the images produced by people around one's own self. The generalized others which the individual interact teach his how to behave, who he is, how he should react to social processes, and this learning process is the source of the formation of the ego. In other words, the self-image built by a person through the process of interaction with others. Self-perception is a process formed by the family in which the child lives, the people he is friends with and the institutions he interacts with. The self is built and can change depending on the situation, conditions and possibilities. Since the factor that cause children to be dragged to the crime aren't congenital and emerge during the socialization process, it will be useful to examine the environment in which children who are dragged into crime grow up in the early development process. Interactions within the family can be directly effective in driving children into crime. The reasons that are effective in driving children to crime with in the family; poverty, violence, the large number of children, the breakdown of the family and the negative role models of people who have committed crimes in the family can be considered as negative role models for children. The crime committed by children is not merely an act of the environment in which they grow up. In this study, the relationship between crime and self-image that children develop depending on the family environment they live in will be examined. Semi-structured interview form was used in the study. By analyzing the obtained data, the effective reasons for the children to be dragged into crime were examined.
