Abstract (EN)
Conflict, which is a part of human life, arises between the parties for various reasons and arises as a result of the discontent of at least one party. The concept of decision-making can be effective in the emergence or management of this discontent. Because decision-making for individuals at certain levels can cause conflict. In particular, there may be conflict in the academic community formed by the human community. The causes of the conflict in the academy; lack of resources, subordinate-superior relationship, lack of communication and organizational injustice. Conflict management styles in academia are avoidance, compliance, increased communication, and compromise. Individuals in decision-making positions in academia can benefit from the methods developed when making a detailed evaluation between alternatives before making a decision. With the AHP method, which is one of the developed methods, a comparison can be made between the existing criteria and inferences can be made from the comparison results. For this reason, the aim of the study is to determine the causes of conflicts and conflict management styles in academia according to academicians and to rank them according to their importance levels with the help of AHP analysis.
