Abstract (EN)
This study aims to determine the surface and underground water potential of the province of Aksaray and examine the quality parameters of water sources of the centre district. With this purpose, rain and temperature data were collected from the directorate of meteorology and a water balance table was prepared of the province of Aksaray and the results of this balance was interpreted.5 period samples were taken from the sample locations specified in 2011 for the examination of water quality parameters and then analysed. The results of the analysis were evaluated according to criteria of intracontinental water sources and potable water.With the results of the study, it has been asserted that there may be a probable water problem in the future for the province of Aksaray and therefore required measures need to be taken. It has been observed that the centre district of the province of Aksaray is voluminous in terms of water sources, however, deviates from the 1st class water quality in terms of some parameters with respect to intracontinental water quality criteria.
