Abstract (EN)

Muslims around the world must move towards a certain direction to worship. This direction is known as the Kaaba in Mecca, Saudi Arabia, which is considered sacred for Muslims. This direction is called as Qibla in which Muslims first aim to perform their prayers and perform other prayers. Muslim mosques and places of worship should be in this direction. In order for Muslims to have prayer worship valid, the Qibla direction of the mosques should have a certain accuracy. In this study; The existing qiblah angles of the three mosques located in the center of Aksaray Province were calculated by using the Qibla time and the Qiblah determination by using Qibla determination methods and the results were compared with each other. Geographical coordinates of these three mosques were obtained by using Google Earth program and the Qibla angles of the mosques were calculated. 3 different methods applied to mosques are compared with each other and it is predicted that Google Earth is suitable for the Qibla angle calculation of mosques. Then, the Qibla angle of the 50 mosques located in the center of Aksaray Province was calculated using the Google Earth program. According to the results obtained; It was observed that the Qibla angle differences of the mosques calculated from the Qibla angle remained within the boundaries of the fatwa shared by the High Council of Religious Affairs in 2015.
