Abstract (EN)

The laws that have been implemented since the foundation of the Ottoman State have played an important role in enabling people to live comfortably and peacefully, and these rules were applied in states ,banner, towns and villages. The punishments given to crimes and these criminals are also applied in the accident in Aksaray, which is the scope of our subject, but the victims have sought their rights through the courts by writing a petition to punish the criminals. In this thesis, the main source of which is the Ottoman archive documents, II. The crimes of bribery, corruption, banditry, theft, murder and rape in the Aksaray district during the sixty-nine years that passed until the Constitutional Monarchy (1839-1908) and the investigations, trials and penalties against those who committed them were determined and evaluated chronologically. In this context, the criminal elements in the Ottoman geography and the punishments given to them were evaluated through the Aksaray accident.
