Abstract (EN)
This study was conducted to determine the plant diversity of the Aksaray University Campus. Between 2023 and 2025, a total of 530 plant specimens were collected from the study area. These specimens represent 375 taxa belonging to 61 families (Pteridophyta 1, Pinophytina 2, Magnoliophytina 58) and 233 genera (Pteridophyta 1, Pinophytina 5, Magnoliophytina 227), and 375 taxa (Pteridophyta 1, Pinophytina 6, Magnoliophytina 368). Among these taxa, 52 are cultivated plants. A total of 28 taxa are endemic to Türkiye, corresponding to an endemism rate of 7,46%. The phytogeographical distribution of the taxa is as follows: 58 taxa (15,46%) are Irano-Turanian elements, 15 taxa (4%) are Mediterranean elements, 15 taxa (4%) are Euro-Siberian elements, and 287 taxa (76,53%) are either widespread or of unknown phytogeographical origin. The top 10 families with the highest number of taxa are: Asteraceae (57), Fabaceae (38), Poaceae (35), Brassicaceae (31), Caryophyllaceae (22), Rosaceae (17), Amaranthaceae (15), Lamiaceae (14), Boraginaceae (13), and Papaveraceae (9). The richest genera in terms of taxa number are Astragalus Centaurea and (8 taxa each), Alyssum and Medicago (7 taxa each), Prunus and Veronica (6 taxa each), and Allium, Taraxacum, and Verbascum (5 taxa each).
