The investigation of the effect of acute blood flow restriction trainings on power output and weight speed

Abstract (EN)

The aim of this thesis was to evaluate the effect of blood flow restriction training method applied with weight on muscle-nerve activity positive and negative acceleration and power output compared to classical weight training. As a result of the study, 8 men age=21.38±1.51 years; height=173.75±7.57 cm; body weight=74.99±9.59 kg; body fat percentage = 12.94 ± 3.46%; Systole=12.13±1.25, diastole=6.75±0.89), 9 female (age=22.33±1.41 years; height=163.00±5.85 cm; body fat percent=21.50 ± 3.82%; systole=11.22±0.97, diastole=6.67±0.50) participants completed. İn the evaluation of repeated measures, time, group and time×group interactions were calculated by two-way analysis of variance (ANOVA) for repeated measures. The significance level was determined as 0.05 in all calculations. Obtained findings were extension of upper and lower extremities, respectively; F=117.539, p=.000, η2:.887 and , flexion F=105.496, p=.000; extension F=73,672 , p =.000 , η2:.831, flexion F=162.108, p =.000 , η2:.915 with great effect power, statistically difference was found in favor of HİP. time × group interaction was statistically significant in favor of males in all sets (p<0.05). When the acceleration results were examined, it was found that F=5.794 , p =.029 , η2:.279 in favor of HİP training in the extension phase in the squat movement, and F=8.975 , p =.009 , η2:.211 in favor of the KAK training in the flexion phase. İn the acceleration results of the bench press movement, there was no difference in terms of the training method in the extension phase (F=2,540 , p =,132 , η2:,145, in the flexion phase F=10.777 , p =,005 , η2:,418 in favor of KAK training, statistically. As a result, it was found that KAK training was not advantageous in terms of strength during acute exercise compared to classical hypertrophy training, whereas squat and bench press movements had an advantage in terms of speed in the flexion phase. The use of KAK training in sport-specific training may not be effective in terms of mechanical stress.
