Abstract (EN)

In this study, biomass and carbon stock capacities of forests in Bolu Forest Regional Directorate, Aladağ Forest Management Directorate and Demirciler Planning Unit between 1986-1995 and 2009-2018 were calculated. Biomass and carbon storage amounts of forests were determined according to Allometric Biomass Equations Method (ABD) and Biomass Expansion Factor (BEF) method. Mapping was done by using ARCGIS 9.3. The carbon storage amount of the planning unit for the 1986-1995 Plan period; was calculated as 340.078.84 tons by Allometric Biomass Method (ABD); as 302835.18 tons by Biomass Expansion Factor (BEF). Carbon storage amounts was calculated as 554.327,44 tons by Allometric Biomass Method (ABD) in during the 2009-2018 Plan period; using Biomass Expansion Factors (BEF) was calulated as 505.582,22 tons. It is thought that since allometric equations use diameter-dependent equations, they provide more accurate results than BEF.
