Abstract (EN)

In this study, the physiological and genotoxic effects of Fenpyroximate acaricide on Swiss albino mice, along with biochemical effects and protective role of nut against these effects were investigated. Mice were randomly divided into six (6) groups consisting of one (1) control and control and five (5) experimental groups. Physiological effects are determined by measuring the liver and kidney weights, genotoxic effects are determined by micronucleus (MN), live weight and identification of the number of chromosomal damage, while biochemical effects are determined by serum ALT, AST and by measuring the renal and hepatic GSH and MDA values with the values of BUN and creatinine. Compared to control group, it was observed a decrease in GSH levels together with organ and live weight whilst an increase in MN, number of chromosomal abnormalities, MDA, AST, ALT, BUN and levels of creatinine was identified in Fenpyroximate experiment group. Feeding the subject with nut contributed to development of parameters of the subject though ıt is not as much as in control groups.As a result, nut can be used to reduce toxicity stimulated by chemical agents such as pesticides and used as "toxicity restrictive" product.
