In this study, it was aimed to determine whether emotional regulation skills have an intermediary role in relation to perceived parental attitudes and non-suicidal intent self-injury behavior. The study conducted for this purpose was carried out using a correlational method. This study group consisted of 150 male convicts in the Gaziantep Open Prison, aged between 18-52 years, who had at least one self-injurious behavior during their lifetime. A purposeful and appropriate sampling technique was used in the development of the study group. The research data were collected using the Socio-Demographic Information Form, Abbreviated- Perceived Parental Attitudes Scale, Difficulties in Emotion Regulation Scale and Self-Harm Behavior Assessment Inventory. Analysis of data is made T-test for Dependent Groups, Mann-Whitney U test, Kruskal-Wallis Non-Parametric Analysis of Variance, Pearson Correlation Coefficient and Multiple Linear Regression Analysis. As a result of the study, the strategy sub-dimension of emotion regulation found that it has a mediating role in perceived parental attitudes and non-suicidal self-injurious behavior. Obtained findings are discussed in the light of the literature. Key Words: Perceived Parenting Attitudes, Non-Suicidal Self-İnjury, Emotion Regulation
