Ali b. Suleyman el-Mansûrî and Famous Reciters of Mısır tariki

Ali b. Suleyman el-Mansūrī a well-known scholar of the 17th century is an important figure in many sciences including qiraat. His surroundings and teachers played a very important role in el-Mansūrī's educaiton. He carried out his knowledge through his books and his students. One other success of el-Mansūrī was the "Mısır tariki" founded by him and became one of the main professions along with the "Istanbul tariki" in Ottoman era. This work named as "Ali b. Suleyman el-Mansûrî and Famous Reciters of Mısır Tariki" is composed of three chapters: The first chapter is the history of qıraat professions before el-Mansūrī, the second chapter is biyography el-Mansūrī and detailed discripting his era and the third chapter is Mısır tariki after him. In our study we present the importance of Ali b. Suleyman el-Mansûrî in the transfer of the Ottoman qiraat profession by teaching and by books to following generations.
