Abstract (EN)

Plastics constitute a wide range of our daily life. With the improvements about the plastic material compounds in the latest time, it is provided that plastic materials have advanced properties by reinforcing plastics with other materials. These developments provide the plastic matrix composites to have a usage as much as unreinforced plastic materials. Plastics have lower melting temperatures according to other material groups that provides plastics to have a good formability. Plastics and plastic matrix composites can be manufactured with a lot of producing techniques. In this study, woven fabric of sisal yarn was obtained and reinforced to plastic matrix materials. Woven fabrics are pre-treated with different chemical substances. Hot press applied to woven fabric and thermoplastic matrix material and composite material produced. The effects of pretreatments on the composite were examined by tensile, bending, impact, stiffness tests, FT-IR and SEM analyzes.
