Abstract (EN)

In this study, the relationships between co-dependence, burnout levels and coping strategies are discussed. In the study, it was aimed to examine the relationship between co-dependence, coping strategies and burnout levels of the relatives of individuals with alcohol and substance addiction problems. The study group of the research consisted of 105 participants, 22 men and 83 women, aged between 20 and 70. The data of the participants were obtained through the Personal Information Form, the Co-Dependency Factor in Addiction Scale, the COPE Coping Attitudes Scale, and the Maslach Burnout Scale. Relationships between variables were examined by Pearson correlation analysis. According to the results, a positive and significant relationship was found between the religious coping sub-dimension of the COPE coping scale and co-dependency. A positive and significant relationship was found between the behavioral disengagement sub-dimension of coping and the level of dysfunctional coping burnout. While a positive and significant relationship was found between the guilt factor of co-dependency and the level of burnout, a negative significant relationship was found between the personal achievement sub-dimension of burnout and co-dependency. The findings obtained from the study were discussed in the context of the relevant literature.
