Abstract (EN)

The organic geochemical characteristics of the Miocene aged oil shale, located in Alpagut Village of Dodurga town at the 45th km North-West of Çorum city, was investigated in this study. TOC values of Alpagut-Dodurga oil shale are high (7.93 %wt. in average). According to the results of Pyrolysis/TOC analysis, Alpagut-Dodurga oil shale include predominantly Type I and very little Type II kerogen contents. Tmax values (430º in average) indicate that the oil shale are immature and Alpagut-Dodurga oil shale was not generated any hydrocarbon. The gas chromatograms, obtained after GC analysis of Alpagut-Dodurga oil shale, n-alkanes were recorded between nC10 and nC35. The CPI values (higher than 1) of gas chromatograms of oil shale samples were calculated supports immature characteristic for the oil shale. The lower values of Pr/Ph ratio for oil shale samples (in the range of x-y) indicated that Alpagut-Dodurga oil shale was deposited at anoxic depositional environment.
