Abstract (EN)

Aluminum honeycomb structures are frequently preferred in aerospace applications due to their lightweight and high strength characteristics. However, these structures can be subjected to various mechanical and environmental impacts during use, leading to potential damage. The extent to which damage affects structural integrity and the efficiency of the repair process directly influence the safe and long-term use of these materials. In this study, artificial damage was inflicted on aluminum honeycomb structures, and the subsequent repair process was addressed. These repair procedures were carried out according to the maintenance protocols of the manufacturing companies, aiming to restore the material's original strength properties. After the repair process, various non destructive testing (NDT) methods were applied to evaluate the integrity of the structure. A bending test was conducted to assess the material's strength, and the results were analyzed. This study is expected to serve as an example for future research and contribute to new studies on the repair of similar structures. In this way, it aims to develop safe and effective repair processes in the aviation industry and improve the quality of maintenance and repair practices.
