Abstract (EN)
Qualitative and quantitative wood anatomy characteristics were determined for four woody taxa belonging to the genera Camphorosma, Bassia and Caroxylon in the Amaranthaceae family: Camphorosma monspeliaca L., Bassia prostrata (L.) Beck, Caroxylon dendroides (Pall.) Tzvelev, Caroxylon laricinum (Pall.) Tzvelev. Qualitative and quantitative anatomical features such as vessel cell properties (tangential and radial diameter, cell length, wall thickness), vessel density, fiber dimensions (length, width, lumen width, wall thickness), ray characteristics (type, cell composition, density, dimensions), vessel arrangement within the growth ring, perforation table type, axial parenchyma, presence of helical thickening, presence of vasicentric vascular tracheids, presence of storage substances and crystals in the cells, etc. were determined in wood samples of taxa subject to this study. Amaranthaceae woods included in this study are distinguished by the presence of sucessive cambia, foraminate to concentric type included phloem, radial vessel groups, the presence of crystals in parenchyma cells, conjunctive parenchyma and ray features.
