Abstract (EN)

In addition to many organic compounds, it is well known that transition metal complexes are also used for chemoterapic investigation. Diamindichloroplatinum(II) complex, also known as cis-platinum, is one of the most widely used transition metal complex in chemotherapies. However, among the phosphine containing metal complexes, investigation of anticancer activity of aminomethylphosphine (R2P-CH2-N type) has not been sufficiently studied. In this study, aminomethylphosphine ligand and their metal complexes were synthesized due to their advantages such as stability in vivo and in vitro conditions and can be taken easily by human body of water soluble phosphine complexes. With this scope, aminomethylphosphine ligands have been synthesized based on the Mannich reaction, and metal complexes of these ligands with Pt(II), Pd(II), Rh(I), Ru(II) and Au(I) have been prepared using Schlenk techniques under nitrogen atmosphere. All the obtained complexes have been characterized using FT-IR, 1H, 13C ve 31P-NMR spectroscopies and microanalytic techniques. Thermal stability of the complexes was evaluated by TG/DTA analysis. Antitumoural activities of synthesized metal complexes containing phosphine have been determined.
