The exit point is based on pre historic symbols, the gamma ( Γ ) on their arms is said to have developed the plus ( + ) signs. The symbol mentioned, has always been given different meanings between scientist and the real meaning has always been a topic of curiosity. The first emerge of the Swastika in Asia Minor, the places the sign has been seen in Anatolia and material evaluation is the topic of this work. The meaning of the sign due to the opinion of various scientists has been tried to be displayed. In this context, in Anatolian Centered works, Swastika signs have been found in 37 habitats. These findings are from excavation and graveyard in total there are 96 Swastika findings which have been tried to be evaluated and emerged results have been tried to be displayed in this thesis. The Swastika has been taken in to possession about the same chronologic time in Mesopotamia and Anatolia. The mentioned sign, in both areas, has been started to occur about the 7th century BC. The first appearances in the Samarra cultures in Centre and North Mesopotamia, Çatalhöyük and Bademağacı Höyüğü in Anatolia were the first areas were the sign has been seen. When the time line about the sign in the thesis is taken into account, the sign subsisted the first century BC without interruption in Anatolia. It has been determined that this sign was used the most in the early bronze age. Due to the different meanings given from scientist and archeological excavations, it is known, the sign has different meanings and different uses in society in our day. Nevertheless it is believed that the sign was used in cultural, social and religious fields in the prehistoric time. Key Words: Swastika, Anatolia, Neolithic, The Bronze Age
