Abstract (EN)

The first settlement in the Kars region started in the Paleotic Period, followed by the Neolotic, Chalcolotic and Bronze Age. Today, the city of Kars, which is located on the Erzurum - Kars Plateau, is composed of deep steep lands around 2000 meters above sea level. Since Kars and its environs have an important position throughout history, it has cradled many civilizations. Kars and its environs were partly dominates by the Anatolian Selçuk state during the reign of 2nd Suleyman Sah, Aleaddin Kayqubad and 2nd Gıyaseddin Kayhusrew. However, as a result of the attacks of the Georgian Mongols, Kars and its environs caused the Seljuks to emerge from the sovereignty of the Seljuks. During the limited time, the Anatolian Seljuk State built Ejder, Musun, Karakale and Alacahan Caravanserais for commercial purposes in and around Kars. These caravansaries are located on the Silk Road in Anatolia İran and Georgia. The Anatolian Seljuk State, which dominates the commercial the commercial routes with the caravanserais it has built in and around Kars, has used coins thad it battered on these commercial routes. 1st Kayhusrew, Aleaddin Kayqubad, 2nd Gıyaseddin Kayhusrew, Three Brothers coin of coins, 2nd İzzeddin Kaygavus, 4th Rükneddin Kılıçarslan'a coins belonging to the storage of the museum in Kars has survived. On these coins, there are elements of astrological ornament with floral, geometric, figures, as decoration elements.
