Abstract (EN)

Form which is the outcome of architecture, is described by the mass, space, surface elements amd the corner concept which determines the boundaries of these elements. In this thesis the three dimensional analysis of architectural form and form compositions were studied from the geometrical syntactic point. Firstly, an analysis method was proposed and then the forms selected from a limited area were analyzed by this method. The study consists of five chapter. In the first chapter, the definition of the problem, the aim of the research, determination of the research area and the previous studies in this field are described. In the second chapter; information is given about geometrical fiction and types, approachers on formation of form. The importance of form concept from past to our days was presented and modelled. Lastly, approaches to form analysis in architecture were described. In the third chapter the application area and its architectural identity was described. Form concept in central Asia was discussed. Then, the Early Period Anatolian Turiksh buildings which are the basic topic of this research like caravansaries, mosques, kümbet s and tombs were presented from the point of space formation. In the fourth chapter; the basic characteristics relating to the geometrical fiction of form, as an art object, was described. Then the selection of forms to be studied, acquisition of data, and the application of the method was given. The findings were discussed.
