Abstract (EN)

SUMMARY The non-repeated peaks of the torque produced in electrodynamics devices are the important points to be taken into consideration. Since the positive non-repeated peak gives an impulse to the shaft of the motor and the negative non repeated peak forces the shaft to be broken or twisted, they both expose a dangerous state. Therefore they should be predicted and controlled. The instantaneous value of the voltage applied to the motor is one of the factors affecting on their dynamic behaviour, hence, the non-repeated peaks mentioned above. To keep these peaks under control the instantaneous value of the voltage applied should be controlled. For this purpose a Switching Angle Selector (SAS) which is totally different device in structure and performance from A.C. phase controller is required. In this work; -In order to investigate the effect of the instantaneous value of the voltage applied on the non-repeated torque peaks a single phase capacitor type induction motor has been used. -A Switching Angle Selector has been designed and implemented. -For the theoretical analysis of the dynamic behaviour and prediction of the non- repeated torque peaks of the motor the d-q axes representation has been employed. -A circuit to measure the torque has been implemented. -The theoretical and experimental results has been compared. As a conclusion of this work, it has been observed that the theoretical and experimental results are well agreed each other. Key Words: Switching angle selector, single phase capacitor type induction motor. VI
