Abstract (EN)

Switched reluctance machines stand out among other electric machines in that they have simple structures featuring, only winding in the stator, reliability, high fault tolerance and the ability to operate within wide speed range. Switched reluctance machines can be used as generators by changing triggering angles as they are used as motors. These generators are used in other applications such as in wind power plants, aeronautics and electric automobiles, especially due to their ability to operate in a variable speed range. One of the biggest advantages of these machines is that they do not need a different source of electrical energy for the system they use as a motor. In this thesis, the control of a switched reluctance generator (SRG) was performed. A real-time simulation of the SRG driver was carried out in Matlab/Simulink and the DS1103 Ace kit digital signal processor was used to determine the performance of the SRG. The output voltage of the SRG was controlled by using a PI voltage controller. At the end of the study, change graphs were obtained for SRG phase current according to different parameters. Experimental and simulation results were compared and the results were observed to coincide with each other.
