Abstract (EN)

The increase in amount and type of solid waste that is caused by the population growth, industrial developments and rising propensity to consume has revealed a İntegrated Solid Waste Management approach of involving all waste instead of establishing a separate management system for each type of waste. Ankara province is growing very fast and in an uncontrolled manner due to high rate of migration and considering the future years, it is become a significant research topic to determine new solid waste disposal sites as an alternative to the existing ones. To this end the most appropriate alternative area for the natural living and economic conditions within ankara province boundaries which investigated in this study; initially, for the selection area of alternative Integrated Solid Waste Plant was determined 3 main criteria, 17 sub-criteria and 7 alternatives area (county) considering the current state of the study area and other studies conducted on this topic, subsequently these criteria and alternatives were consulted the expert opinions by a survey to assign weight values with the pairwise comparison method. As a result of the quantitative datas that obtained taking expert opinions are analyzed using the Analytic Network Process method which is one of the multi-criteria decision making techniques, was determined the Bala county as the most appropriate alternative Integrated Solid Waste Plant area for Ankara.
