Abstract (EN)
Risky play is a type of play that contributes to many development areas of preschool children. There are researches on risky plays abroad. However, it has been observed that researches in this area are limited in our country. The research conducted is important in terms of contributing to the studies in the risky playground and in terms of predicting the relationship between parents' permission to risky plays and their children's social skills and problem behaviors. In this context, the aim of the thesis is to examine whether parents of children attending preschool education allow risky plays to predict their social skills and problem behaviors. The study group of this study, in which descriptive and relational screening model is used, consists of 253 pre-school children of 48-66 months of normal development and their parents who attend pre-school education in independent kindergartens affiliated to the state and primary schools in Sultangazi district of Istanbul. As a data collection tool within the scope of the research; The Allowance of Risky Plays Scale and the Social Skills Scale and Problem Behavior Scale, which are two subscales of Kindergarten and Kindergarten Behavior Scale, were used. According to the findings obtained from the research; It is one of the findings of the study that mothers permit risky plays at a higher level than fathers, and parents who are higher education graduates allow higher levels of risky plays than parents with primary education. No significant difference was found between the gender of the children and the parents' level of allowing risky plays. In favor of girls and higher education graduate parents in social skill levels; In problem behaviors, a significant difference was found in favor of boys and parents with primary education. It was concluded that children's social skills and problem behaviors predicted parents 'level of allowing risky plays, and that there was a positive relationship between parents' level of allowing risky plays and social skills, and a negative relationship with problem behavior.
