Analysis of the relationship between the self-efficiency and attitude levels of coaching (Middle Black Sea example)

The aim of this study was to examine the relationship between self-sufficiency of coaches and attitude levels of coaches in different branches with visas and licenses for 2020/2021 season in 5 provinces (Corum, Samsun, Amasya, Ordu, Tokat) located in the Central Black Sea region. In our study, the Attitude Scale towards Coaching developed by (Koçak, 2020) and the Coach Self-Efficacy Scale developed by (Koçak, 2020) were used as the measurement tool. The data obtained in the study were evaluated using the SPSS 22.0 program. Whether the data came from the normal distribution was checked with the Kolmogorov-Smirnov test. If the data met the parametric conditions, they were analyzed with the independent samples T-test for two independent groups, and the F test (ANOVA) for more than two groups. ANOVA was used for comparisons with more than two groups. In order to determine which group is different from the others, the Scheffe test was preferred in the analyzes providing the assumption of homogeneity. Tamhane's T 2 tests were used in the analyzes that did not provide the assumption of homogeneity. In determining the direction and strength of the relationship between variables, the error level was taken as 0.05 using pearson correlation analysis. If it is determined that the data does not show normal distribution, Mann-Whitney U for two-group comparisons and Kruskal Wallis tests for multiple-Group comparison are applied. The Spearman ordinal correlation coefficient was used to test the relationships between variables; A statistically significant association was found between coaching self-sufficiency total and all subscale scores and attitude scales for coaches total and all subscale scores. As a result, half of the coaches participating in our study, generally have up to 8 years of experience. It has been concluded that a large proportion of coaches are coaches working in the public sector, and that the number of those who coach at the national team level is small. In my research, it was concluded that there was no statistically significant qualification between AÖY and subscale scores between provinces. As coaches-coaching levels increase, it has been concluded that their performance qualifications increase accordingly 5. and 4. It has been concluded that tier coaches have higher performance qualifications than other lower tier coaches.
