Abstract (EN)

Investigation of The Effects of Anthropometric and Motoric Skills on Swimming Performance (Master Thesis) Çorum, 2019. The purpose of the study is to examine the effects of anthropometric and motoric skills on the performance of the competitions. A total of 40 swimming athletes participated in the study, including 20 females and 20 male aged between 16 and 17 years. The best 50-meter degrees of the participants were taken from the scores they gained as a result of official competition. In addition, the anthropometric and motoric characteristics of all athletes were determined by using field tests. As a result of regression models in the analysis of data male long jump, flexibility, aerobic endurance, speed, endurance and abdominal characteristics in women, height, hand length, foot length, forearm circumference, biceps flexion circumference, hand wrists diameter, body composition, long jump, static arm force, abdominal endurance, flexibility, aerobic endurance, speed, agility and balance characteristics have shown to have significant effects on swimming performance. As a result, it is thought that these anthropometric and motor skills might have an impact on the swimming performance. In addition, appropriate training plans can be made to develop dominant motor characteristics. Key Words: Aerobic Resistant, Anthropometric, Motoric, Swimming
