Abstract (EN)

In this study, the wavelength dependence of the reflectance spectra of the planar multilayer structures which are formed by repeating the semiconductor GaAs and AlAs layers in one dimension and incidence angle dependence of the reflectance spectra for monochromatic light are examined. In addition to the planar multilayer structures, wavelength dependence of the reflectance spectra are calculated for single mod fiber Bragg gratings. The results obtained for periodic and aperiodic structures which are constructed by according to the Fibonacci, Thue-Morse, Double-Period and Rudin-Shapiro sequential rules are compared. The advantages that various types of aperiodic structures can provide in different applications in comparison to periodic structures are discussed. In the calculations, CAMFR software which utilizes transfer matrix and the eigenmode expansion methods is used.
